Of 19 piperazino biguanide derivatives (I) prepared and tested for ameba cysticidal activity, II (I, R = H, X = N-Ph) [65968-12-9] was the most active. The cysticidal activities of II in concentrations of 0.5, 0.25, 0.125, 0.0625, 0.0312, and 0.0156 mg/mL were 100, 75.5, 48.0, 19.5, 9.0, and 0%, resp.
