Proceeding via an asymmetric hydrogen-borrowing process, the catalysis allows racemic secondary allylic alcohols to react with various amines, affording enantiomerically enriched chiral gamma-amino alcohols with broad substrate scope and excellent enantioselectivities (68 examples, up to >99 %ee).
