2,7-Diazaspiro[4.5]decan-1 -one hydrogen chloride (100 mg, 0.524 mmol) was dissolved in dichloromethane (10 mL) and triethylamine (0.219 mL, 1 .573 mmol), and 2,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonyl chloride (197 mg, 0.629 mmol) was added. After stirring for 17 h the reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the resulting residue was purified by MDAP to give 7-{[2,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]- sulfonyl}-2,7-diazaspiro[4.5]decan-1 -one (96 mg, 0.221 mmol, 42% yield) as a white solid. 1 H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) delta ppm 1 .46 – 1 .63 (m, 3 H) 1.66 – 1 .75 (m, 1 H) 1 .85 – 2.03 (m, 2 H) 2.72 – 2.78 (m, 1 H) 2.80 (d, J=12.28 Hz, 1 H) 3.1 1 – 3.19 (m, 2 H) 3.47 (d, J=12.28 Hz, 1 H) 3.71 (d, J=1 1 .78 Hz, 1 H) 7.75 (s, 1 H) 8.24 (s, 1 H) 8.26 – 8.33 (m, 2 H).
