The nickel/(S)-Binapine complex was found to be an efficient catalyst for asymmetric hydrogenation of beta-acetylamino vinylsulfones to afford chiral beta-Amido sulfones with excellent yields and enantioselectivities (up to 95% yields and >99% ee).
